Bio

Let me tell you a bit about myself.  I am 40 something and married with two children.  I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years as a nurse and healthcare communications specialist.  My nursing career has been varied from A&E to GP practice based.  Currently, I work in Surrey in a small, busy GP surgery with specialist interests in respiratory and mentorship.

Additionally, for over ten years, after graduating in public relations and development studies, I worked in the communications industry on national public health campaigns raising awareness of disease and disease prevention, men and womens’ health issues and helped launch new products and drugs to the market.

My university studies covered political socioeconomics and inequalities in developing countries: health being up there with finance and trade.  I believe passionately that being united and helping each other can make a real difference to the world.

Those who know me know I’m not the most techy savvy person out there, so please bear with me through this blogging business until I’m up to speed…one thing I’m sure about though, this blog is for you – nurse, mum, dad, brother, sister, grandparent, friend…
